Our Bus Tour with West Chester University and People's Hall

Our free bus tour following Frederick Douglass through some of the places he visited in Chester County was an incredible success! We kicked off the adventure at the West Chester University campus, diving into Frederick Douglass's visits and speeches, complete with fascinating behind-the-scenes insights about his statue, discovered letters, and activities from the late 1800s. From there, we explored the Brandywine Battlefield and cruised down Route 1 to the charming outskirts of Kennett Square. We looped through the Longwood Progressive Friends Meeting, Marlborough Meeting, and on to People's Hall, sharing captivating stories of abolitionists and freedom seekers along the way. After enjoying a delicious lunch provided by Triple Fresh, we delved deep into the rich history of People's Hall. Then it was back on the bus for even more stories all the way back to WCU. The beautiful weather made an already fantastic trip even more amazing! We're doing it all again on October 3rd. Can't wait!
